Nowra offers some lovely bushwalks that are close to town yet give you the feeling of being totally immersed in nature. Ben's Walk from the Showgrounds follows the Shoalhaven river and takes roughly 1 hour. Bomaderry Creek Walking Track takes 2 hours and makes you feel you are miles from town even though you're not!

The new Shoalhaven City Arts Centre is a centre for imagination and ideas with high quality exhibitions. Or take a 20 minute drive then stroll around Arthur Boyd's homestead and studio - Bundanon. Or wander through Nowra's own historic house - Meroogal built in 1885.
Stroll around the Australian Museum of Flight at Nowra Hill. The Museum boasts a 6,000 m², two-storey exhibition centre, souvenir shop, cafe, function centre, theatre and airfield viewing platform.
Nowra has excellent sporting facilities: eg tennis, golf, swimming, squash, gyms, indoor climbing and more.If it rains, you can visit the movies , or the ten pin bowling alley for some holiday fun.
Nowra is the business hub of the South Coast with more than 300 retail outlets including supermarkets with 7 day trading. Or you can drive up to the top of Cambewarra Mountain and enjoy the awesome view to Jervis Bay and beyond whilst enjoying Devonshire Tea in the Tea rooms at the summit.
